Partial proceeds of In Our Own Aboriginal Voice 2-will be donated to the Tsawalk Learning Center, Nanaimo. The foreword will be written by Chief and author, Edmund Metatawabin. In Our Own Aboriginal Voice 2: to be released Summer 2019 by Rebel Mountain Press. Each selected author will receive a one time fee and a free e-book version of the book. Paperback copies will also be available at regional libraries and book stores across Canada. Published authors will be invited to publicly read their stories at various literary venues. In addition, Vancouver Island Regional Library (VIRL) offered bonus cash prizes for the top writing submissions: Short Stories Category First- All My Relations by Michael Calvert Second- Grey Skies by Sheena Robinson Poetry Category First- My Grandfather's Cherished Mittens by Judy Thompson Second- Saving Cedar by Sheena Robinson

Chosen illustrations will be published in the books and artists will be contacted by Nov 15 plus will be listed on this website.
