HOW TO PROPERLY SUBMIT YOUR ARTWORK Taking a photograph of artwork does not always display your work at its best. The lighting may be off, the picture may not be laying flat and the drawing may appear blurred or grainy. The resolution will also be too low (as low as 96 dpi) so the resolution is not acceptable for printing in a book. Printing companies only accept high resolution pictures (300 dpi) to produce a good quality print. However, many newer cameras have a setting to take a picture in a higher resolution. Lighting must be optimal. It is best to scan your work.
